Live Box Presentation – Empirical’s “Walk Tall” (Jazz)

Walk Tall is a special presentation with jazz group Empirical and journalist Kevin Le Gendre which celebrates the life of stunning saxophonist Cannonball Adderley. Cannonball was an individual jazz musician who created a sound with a hard swinging groove and blues influences that attracted the attention of Miles Davis. He was also an activist for Black Rights in 1960’s America who collaborated with Jesse Jackson. Empirical reprise a selection of Adderley’s masterpieces which will appeal to jazz fans of all stripes while Kevin Le Gendre presents images and archival audio. This event will take place at the Drum on the 31^st October so come along and enjoy the high-quality jazz music on offer.
